so a couple of days ago
the Mr. and I were talking about needing to go to the Temple
"the Elders Quorum goes to the Temple Saturday Mornings"
the Mr. announces
"You should go"
I encourage
"Yeah but it's Saturday morning"
"Angelo, you are going to get to the pearly gates and say Lord, Lord let me in & the Lord is going to say "Yeah, I hear you Angelo but the thing is it's Saturday morning"
after speaking....I think.....where did that come from
then it comes to me
THAT WAS A WAYNLEY THING TO SAY
My Dad is a Southern Gentleman
he is full of what I would call Waynisms
Waynism: words or sayings made up or collected from various languages and radio shows
for example:
Bothcha La Gupa : this is a word Wayne created and can mean anything at anytime
het liggen is altijd zonde : this means lying is always sinning, after serving a mission to holland.....Dutch still pops up now and then....he would use this anytime he thinks one of his kids is trying to pull something over on him
Orlando Muchwaylo Cada dia Corliss: Waynes spanish alter ego, he appears whenever Wayne is longing for Spain.....a place he dreams of visiting often
apart from these waynisms my Pa also loves a great fairly odd story
favorite movies include
Raising Arizona
&
Strange Brew
His favorite thing in this world aside from my Mother:
(I earned big points this Christmas by producing 3 sets--now he can be buried with one and leave a set to each child.....his words not mine)
His favorite children's story which when told by Wayne makes you roll no matter how many times you've heard it
is as follows
thank you
Dad for being part of my life, and making it very Interesting
i appreciate every Waynely thing you say
ALL MY LOVE
XOXOXO
